Writing Likert Survey

Students had a preference of what they would rather be doing in class. My class was given a likert survey to capture how they felt about writing and how they felt about their own writing. This survey was significant, because the attitude of students highly depend on students being successful. Students who shared a strong disdain for writing, were also students who struggled with their written responses and scored low on comprehension assessments. Comparably, students also had a hard time finding success in their own writing, believing that their written responses were not meeting grade level expectations.
